Believe & Inspire had done work organically in many communities in the Queens area from 2014, in financial literacy and college preparation.
In 2018, our co-founder Annmarie Nowbath was doing a special project with youths in the foster care system. She met youths each week of this venture, and heard their pleas for their voices to be heard and to get them additional resources. She felt the call to help them. Her along with her team organized Believe & Inspire in 2018 and started serving youths between the ages of 14-21.
When the covid-19 virus struck in early 2020, Believe & Inspire took their classes online and have seen a greater demand for the classes. The programs expanded to not only youths in foster care but youths that were in dire need of their services. They now serve youths from over 15 high schools in the New York City area and greater New York area.
Believe & Inspire now has evolved in many ways. They now run three organized programs in Financial Literacy, Internship Preparation so that youths can enter the workforce with more confidence and skills and a College Prep course to help them understand the process of applying and getting into college. Believe & Inspire is truly grateful for the amazing team and teachers that help the youths they serve to overcome obstacles and prepare for excellence.
